Bollywood couple Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal received death threats on social media recently, post which, the Mumbai Police on Monday arrested one person in the case.
The accused has been identified as one Manvinder Singh, who has been booked under Indian Penal Code Sections 506-II (criminal intimidation) and 354-D (stalking).
According to a report in Hindustan Times, Vicky had approached the police claiming that the accused had been posting threatening messages on his and Katrina’s social media handles and has also been stalking the actress.
Manvinder Singh is said to be an ardent fan of Katrina, so much so that he even wanted to marry the actress. He claims to be a struggling actor and since the past few months, he had been sharing edited pictures and videos of himself and the ‘Bharat’ actress on his social media account.
In his complaint, Vicky mentioned that the threats have been coming in for quite some time now and hence, the couple decided to seek the help of the police.
Singh has been nabbed by cops of the Santacruz police station and he is currently being probed further.
Vicky and Katrina tied the knot in December last year in Rajasthan at the luxurious Six Senses Fort Barwara. The two had recently jetted off to the Maldives to celebrate the latter’s birthday and returned to the city only a few days back.
