Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s ‘Brahmastra Part One: Shiva’, directed by Ayan Mukerji, continues to bring unprecedented joy and happiness to the film industry, theatre owners, and audiences with a roaring box office collection.
According to reports, the fantasy action-adventure film earned around Rs Rs 300 crore in gross box office collection worldwide in the first week of its release.
This means that ‘Brahmastra’ has crossed Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’ lifetime earnings of Rs 340 crore to become the highest-grossing Hindi film of the year.

Reacting to the reports, Vivek took to Twitter and wrote, “Hahahaha. I don’t know how did they beat #TheKashmirFiles… with sticks, rods, hockey… or AK47 or stones…. Or with paid PR and influencers? Let Bollywood films compete with each other. Leave us alone. I am not in that dumb race. Thanks. #NotBollywood.”

‘Brahmastra’ also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna, and has a special cameo by Shah Rukh Khan.
The film follows the story of Shiva (Ranbir), a DJ, who sets out on a journey with his love interest Isha (Alia) to unearth the origins of his special powers and discovers his connection to a secret community called Brahmansh, led by Guruji (Amitabh Bachchan).
Khan plays Mohan Bhargava, a scientist and an important member of Brahmansh, who is guarding one of the pieces of the ancient Astra. His character wields the ‘Vanarastra’ in the film.
The movie is currently in theatres in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D in Hindi, with Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada versions being presented by ‘RRR’ director SS Rajamouli.
