In an extravagant gesture for his fans, south heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda announced on Sunday that he is all set to send 100 people on a free trip to Manali as a New Year gift for them.
Vijay says that his fans are responsible for making him a big superstar and gives it back to them with his yearly initiative Devera Santa. The initiative started five years ago and so far several fans have explored places around quarters under Vijay’s program.

In order to thank his fans, the star announced the project again on the day of Christmas. Every year, the actor comes up with new and exciting gifts to make Christmas more special for his fans with #Deverasanta, this year’s #Deverasanta2022 plan is quite bigger and special as he has planned to arrange a trip for 100 fans which will be fully free.
Vijay shares update
Taking to social media, he shared a video saying “Happy New Year, my love. This is a ‘DeveraSanta Update’. I had told you that I am going to send 100 of you on an all-expenses paid trip holiday, food, travel, accommodation on me. I asked you guys where you want to go and every pole chose the mountains, so to the mountains we go. I am sending 100 of you on a 5 day trip to Manali. You are going to see snow capped mountains. You are going to see temples, monasteries, and we have a lots of activities planned! If you are 18+, I am sorry you have to be 18+, and you have been following me, just fill out the attached ‘Devera Santa google document form and we are going to pick 100 of you”.
A few days back, the star raised the excitement with a poll on his social media for his fans to help him choose the destination for travel to offer to his fans. He wrote in the caption – “#Deverasanta, a tradition I started 5 years ago. This year I have the nicest idea so far 🙂 I am going to send 100 of you on an all-expenses paid holiday. Help me in choosing the destination. #Deverasanta2022”

As the superstar dropped the poll, the audience dropped their votes to help him choose the destination with the option – Mountains of India, Beaches of India, Culture trip to India, and Desert in India.
Vijay’s Christmas ritual
Vijay started this tradition long back. In the first year, he visited Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University in Masab Tank and randomly selected 50 fans who followed the actor on social media, and they were given special gifts, all by the actor himself.
In another year, Vijay posted a video and asked all of his followers and fans to shower their wishes with ‘#DevaraSanta.’ He promised that he would fulfill at least 9-10 of the wishes and possibly many more.
Last year, he announced the names of 100 winners who were awarded Rs 10,000 each as a Christmas gift.

Vijay’s upcoming projects
On the work front, Vijay was last seen in the pan-India film ‘Liger’, which also marked his Bollywood debut. However, the film miserably tanked at the box office, leaving the actor MIA for quite some time.
He is now back to work as he will be next seen in ‘Kushi’ opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
Besides, he also has the much-hyped ‘Jana Gana Mana’ in the pipeline.
