Actor Ranbir Kapoor lauded his wife, actress Alia Bhatt, for working during her pregnancy.
In a recent interview with NDTV, Ranbir praised Alia and said any kind of criticism she is facing for her pregnancy is ‘just jealousy’.
Responding to a question on the sexist reporting around Alia’s pregnancy announcement, Ranbir said that Alia, in the history of Indian cinema, is probably one of the most important actors there’s ever been.
For those unversed, Alia filmed her Hollywood debut ‘Heart Of Stone’, wrapped ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, and promoted ‘Brahmastra’ and ‘Darlings’ after announcing her pregnancy.

According to Ranbir, Alia’s conduct has been exemplary and haters are just jealous.
“I think the way she has carried herself through the entire marketing of this film being pregnant, being in the condition that she is – I think you should only be inspired by that. Any kind of criticism is just jealousy and mischief makers and stupidity and we should not take that seriously,” Ranbir told the news portal.
Ranbir and Alia are currently basking in the success of their latest release ‘Brahmastra’.
Alia and Ranbir tied the knot in April this year after dating for five years. The couple had an intimate wedding and it was attended only by the closest friends of the two.
In June, Alia announced to the world that she is expecting her first child with Ranbir. The Kapoor and Bhatt families are expected to throw a baby shower for the mommy-to-be soon now, as the actress is set to deliver her baby by the end of October.
