Pen Marudhar- the distribution arm of Pen Studios, which was behind the mega-blockbusters like SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’, Kamal Hassan-starrer ‘Vikram’ and the recent super hit ‘Sita Ramam’, will be distributing another big ticket film from south ‘PS-I Hindi’ in the northern territories of India.
Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus ‘PS-1’ is touted as the potential game-changer for the Tamil film industry. The two-part franchise is mounted on a large scale.
Talking about this, Dr. Jayantilal Gada, CM and MD of Pen Studios, said, “PS-1 like ‘RRR’ is an event film mounted on a huge scale, these films are meant for the theater viewing experience and we are glad to be a part of this. We take pride in making this a larger release so it reaches more viewers who love our cinema.”

Speaking about the collaboration, producer Ashish Singh, CEO, Lyca Productions, said, “We are super excited to be associated with Pen Marudhar for the North India distribution of PS-1. ‘PS-1’ stars Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, and Sobhita Dulipala among others.
Subaskaran’s Lyca Productions presents PS-1. Jointly produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions, the music of the film is composed by AR Rahman. ‘PS-1’ is slated for a worldwide release on September 30, 2022, in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
