Nia Sharma is currently one of the most popular actresses on Indian television. However, her journey in the showbiz has not been a cakewalk and she had to face numerous challenges in her earlier days.
The actress, who is now a part of dance-based reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10’, recalled the time when she was new in the industry and had no knowledge of makeup.
She told Times of India that she would cry looking at the makeup that stylists did for her. “I am not being modest. It is the fact, the truth. I am that girl who did not have the knowledge of doing makeup. When I entered the industry, I had the experiences when people would just do anything in the name of makeup on my face and I couldn’t do anything about it. I have cried my eyes out why I am looking this way,” she shared.
She revealed that she then watched makeup tutorials and learnt to do it herself rather than depending on others.
Nia mentioned how it is important to “look nice” in the showbiz. “From there to here, the journey has been very difficult and different. It’s important to look nice, fine. When slowly I got the brush with reality, I worked very hard on myself. You can’t take my hard work away from me. Everyday of my life I’ve only spent on grooming myself. I was not just born pretty, I worked on myself,” she averred.
On the professional front, Nia was last seen in the item number ‘Phoonk Le’, which was a hit among the masses. Fans went gaga over the actress for her fiesty moves and appreciated her for pulling the song off even when she was not a trained dancer.
