Former Bollywood actor Imran Khan is celebrating his 40th birthday on January 13. The actor was at the peak of his career around 2010 and has worked in superhit films like Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, Delhi Belly, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara and others.
However, Imran disappeared from public eye after featuring in the 2015 film Katti Batti with Kangana Ranaut. Over the years, he had reportedly given multiple hints about how he was not quite happy with his showbiz life.

According to several media reports, Imran had often expressed displeasure about not getting his ‘personal space’ after becoming a popular name with his Bollywood debut in 2008.

A few years after Imran quit acting, he directed a short film titled Mission Mars: Keep Walking India in 2018.
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Imran would be back to directing in 2023, as direction was what Imran always wanted to do. Reportedly, he is also working on the script of his film.
In November 2022, Imran was spotted at Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan’s engagement. Imran is Aamir Khan’s nephew. Despite being away from the limelight for years, he stole the show. Imran looked dapper in blue blazer, light blue shirt, beige trousers and a tie.

Imran’s personal life
He began dating Avantika Malik at the age of 19. The couple was engaged on January 16, 2010, in a farmhouse owned by Avantika’s family in Karjat.
They married a year later (on January 10, 2011) in a private civil ceremony at Aamir Khan’s home in Pali Hill.
In 2014, Malik gave birth to a baby girl, however, in May 2019, the couple started living separately, and they decided to separate due to irreconcilable differences after an eight-year-long marriage.
