Actress Karishma Sharma slammed social media influencer Andrew Tate, who claimed that he hooked up with her. For those unversed, he shared a video and spoke about the ‘hook-up incident’ with Karishma.
Now, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Karishma explained her side and clarified that they never hooked up in the past.
‘He is a scumbag, wants attention’
The Ragini MMS Returns actress told the news portal, “We never hooked up. I just wanted to come out and share my side, so that people know that he is a scumbag spreading lies and just wants attention. I was really happy when he was arrested.”
Karishma further revealed that she met Andrew for the first time in Mumbai with his brother Tristan in 2014. Reportedly, they got along well and she even had a few shots with him.
The actress stated that Andrew insisted on her clicking a picture with her after learning that she is an actress. “That’s all that happened. (Next) His texts on Instagram were very weird and inappropriate. So I disconnected with him and blocked him once I realised he is a creep and he constantly disses women and I didn’t like the way he spoke about them,” Karishma added.
‘I have been dealing with anxiety’
During the interview, Karishma added, “I have been dealing with anxiety lately. I don’t like to get myself into controversies. He is brainwashing younger men to dislike women. It is bothering me and there are days when I am in tears. I had to talk about it. People say it is okay, but it is not. Once you let it out, you know that you have done your job, and then you can take a step back.”
Karishma has been a part of films like Super 30, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Ujda Chaman and others. She has also worked in several web shows.
