The long wait for Chiranjeevi fans is gradually drawing to a close as the film ‘GodFather’ is gearing up for its release on October 5.
The megastar will be sharing screen space with Salman Khan, which itself is the biggest attraction of the movie.
As per the trailer, the state’s chief minister PKR passes away, leading to questions on succession. While his daughter (Nayanthara) is not interested, his son-in-law (Satya Dev), and a few others in the party are in the midst of a power grab. Brahma (Chiranjeevi), the trusted man of the fallen stalwart, is drawn into the murky affairs and is keen to keep greedy sharks at bay.
Salman Khan’s aura on screen amplifies the punch moment. It’s an eye feast to watch them together. Nayanthara and Satya Dev are cool in their respective roles.
Now, in an interview with Film Companion, Chiranjeevi shared how the film’s director Mohan Raja suggested bringing Salman Khan on board.
The actor revealed that he messaged Salman about the same to which the superstar replied, “Yeah, yeah Chiru garu, what do you want?”
He told him that it’s a small character and he can watch Mohanlal’s Malayalam film ‘Lucifer’ just in case.
However, Salman agreed and asked Chiranjeevi to send a person to discuss dates and narrate his character.
As the collaboration became official, producers of the film offered Salman some amount which the actor refused to accept.
Chiranjeevi said, “When my producers went to him and offered him some amount, not knowing how much it was, he said, ‘You cannot buy my love towards Ram and Chiranjeevi garu with money. Get lost.’”
Meanwhile, the two megastars literally set the dance floor on fire with their unmatched style in the ‘Thaar Maar’ song.
‘Godfather’ is the biggest action entertainer of all time. The most awaited movie is directed by Mohan Raja. Nayanthara, Satya Dev, Sunil, and Samuthirakani are the prominent cast.
R.B. Choudary and N.V. Prasad are mounting the movie grandly under Konidela Productions and Super Good Films banners, while Konidela Surekha presents it.
‘Godfather’ is scheduled for a grand release in Telugu and Hindi on October 5.
