Actor Arjun Bijlani recently rued about poor roads in the suburbs of Mumbai and complained that even after his application, the road outside his residence has not been fixed.
He also compared it with roads of South Mumbai, which is a hub of government offices and headquarters of numerous companies.
“Mumbai suburbs need better roads . Had gone to south mumbai day before and it looked fab .. have complained about the pot holes and road outside my house . The monginis cake factory rd . Off Andheri link rd … complaint no 0722752029. Hope it’s done soon,” Arjun tweeted.

As soon as Arjun pointed out the issue to BMC, the civic body responded, “Dear Sir,
We are pleased to know that you enjoyed the vibe of Mumbai on your journey through the South Mumbai from the work done under #MumbaiBeautification Projects. Be assured that the roads across the Metropolitan City of Mumbai are being concretised in a phased manner to ensure better quality and long-lasting pothole-free roads. There is nothing discreet between South Mumbai and Mumbai Suburbs.”

“Regarding Monginis’s layout road, it was earlier a private layout road handed over to BMC later. The said road has already been taken up for improvement in tender (No. WS 414). Work will also start soon on completion of the tender process,” the civic body assured.
Arjun then thanked the authorities for their prompt reply and wrote, “I’m sure it will be done soon. And yes let’s have the best roads for mumbai..”
