Actor Ajith’s Thunivu released in theatres on January 11. It has clashed with Thalapathy Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna’s Varisu. Both the films opened amid much fanfare.
According to a report in India Today, a fan of Ajith, Bharath Kumar, died after falling from a truck while celebrating the release of the film.

Fan falls from truck while dancing
Reportedly, the fan fell off a truck, while dancing, on his way to watch the film in the wee hours on Wednesday. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, however, he later succumbed to his injuries.
According to ANI, he fell down on the Poonamallee highway near Rohini Theatre in Chennai.
Ajith and Vijay’s fans clash
Fans of the south superstars violently clashed outside a theatre in Chennai in the wee hours of Wednesday as their respective films Varisu and Thunivu released on the same day.
Videos of the incident have gone viral on the internet in which fans of both the actors can be seen tearing down posters of the opponent’s films and creating a major ruckus outside the theatre.

Police resort to lathicharge
As per reports, the crowd went out of control as they gathered outside the Chennai theatre and the local cops had to intervene to bring the situation under control.
The police also had to resort to lathicharge and they even took a few unruly people into custody for hampering the peace in the region.
Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu government has also issued an order strictly banning any kind of milk shower over mammoth cut-outs of Vijay and Ajith.

Vijay and Ajith’s epic clash
Vijay and Ajith are clashing on the silver screens after eight long years. It was back in 2014 when Vijay’s ‘Jilla’ released on the same day as Ajith’s ‘Veeram’.
The clash between the two superstars has always been a topic of interest among their fans, and while it is much-anticipated, it has also been much-dreaded over the years.
About Varisu and Thunivu
‘Varisu’, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna, revolves around the life of a youngest son of a family, rising to the occasion when their business empire is on the brink of collapse.
On the other hand, ‘Thunivu’ is the story of a criminal mastermind and his team who plan heists across Chennai but the motive behind these heists remain a mystery.
